Another Western League game, another victory. That’s been the standard formula for head coach Randy Stoklos in his first year leading the Palisades High boys volleyball team, which disposed of LACES on Monday in straight sets, 25-8, 25-20, 25-16.
The Dolphins (22-7 overall) improved to 9-0 against division foes under Stoklos and now lead second-place Venice (5-1) by two-and-a-half games. Last week, Pali netted straight-set wins at Fairfax and at home against Westchester.
In fact, the only game Palisades has lost in a match to a Western League team this year came in a 3-1 win over University on April 5, when the Wildcats won the second game, 25-23.
Tomorrow at 2:30 p.m., PaliHi will travel to Venice with a chance to officially clinch the league title. The Dolphins won the first meeting, 25-20, 25-20, 25-16.
The Dolphins will then close out their schedule with a home game against Hamilton (April 22, 2:30 p.m.) and a road contest at University (April 24, 2:30 p.m.).
