If would like to buy vitamins for a good cause, Palisadian Betty-Jo Tilley will gladly accept your donation. She will be travelling as a translator for a medical team from White Memorial Hospital, Los Angeles, to a remote area outside of Ensenada named Valle de la Trinidad. The area has a population of 2,500, including an orphanage with 36 and a school with 28 children. Families of migrant workers also visit the rustic clinic (the nearest hospital is over two hours away) and double or triple the population between May and September. Geriatric, pediatric, pre-natal, or adult vitamins are appreciated, either by the bottle or by the case. Deadline is June 20. Contact Betty-Jo at (310) 429-9833.
