The spring season of the Pacific Palisades Elementary School Tennis League is in full swing and Village 1, Corpus Christi and Marquez 2 all won their matches Saturday afternoon at the Palisades Tennis Center. Now in its fourth season, the seven-team league consists of two teams from Marquez Elementary and Village School and one each from Calvary Christian, Corpus Christi and St. Matthew’s.
Village 1’s Tommy Conlin and Kellen Georgi won 6-4, Zac Berman and Jennifer Epstein won 6-1 and Max Berman teamed with George Lazenby to win 6-4 for a sweep of the Cougars in the first match of the day.
Next, Corpus Christi edged defending champion Marquez 1, 2-1, and in the night match Village 2 got past Marquez 2, which was led by the tandems of Charlie Doris and Max Berman and Zac Berman and Miles Burton.
This Saturday’s slate has St. Matthew’s taking on Calvary Christian, Marquez 1 playing Village 2 and Marquez 2 matching up against Corpus Christi.
