ON SUNSET
Luxe Hotel 11461 Sunset Blvd., Brentwood (310) 691-7584 Executive Chef Olivier Rousselle has created a romantic five-course menu that includes a toast of J Brut Ros’ or Luxe Champagne cocktail to start. Entr’e selections include roasted Maple Leaf Farms duck breast and miso-marinated black cod. The $68 per-person price includes coffee or artisan tea. Dinner will be served from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Reservations are suggested.
TAJ PALACE
15200 Sunset Blvd. (310) 454-0988 Here in the Village, Taj Palace is offering an appetizer, entr’e, dessert and either wine by the glass or two large beers, at a cost of $90 for two. The regular dinner menu will also be available.
TASTE
538 Palisades Dr. (310) 459-9808 Flamenco guitarist Jeffrey Briggs will entertain diners during the four-course prix-fixe menu. Main course selections are an Australian rack of lamb, pan-roasted filet mignon, Prince Edward Island mussels with black pepper fries, a natural chicken mole de poblano and pan-seared scallops. The price is $55 per person. A limited version of this special menu will also be offered February 11-13 in addition to the regular menu.
FIG RESTAURANT
Fairmont Miramar Hotel 101 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica (310) 319-3111 This year Chef Ray Garcia’who is enormously creative’will forego the traditional prix-fixe Valentine’s Day Menu and instead offer an ‘ la carte Meat Market menu, featuring both meat and seasonal market-inspired dishes. Meat offerings include bacon-wrapped dates ($10), duck rillette ($10), rooster cassoulet ($18) and a 12-oz. New York strip steak ($24). Seasonal-inspired dishes include squash croquettes ($16), persimmon salad ($15), vegetable curry ($19), scallops ($31) and honey-glazed scarlet turnips ($10). The Meat Market menu will be served from 5 to 10 p.m.
MOGAN’S
548 Palisades Dr. (310) 454-0040 Prime rib will be featured for a special dinner for two. This four-course meal will start with butternut squash soup, followed by a fresh pomegranate salad, prime rib with a choice of two sides and red velvet cheesecake. The price is $99.95 for two.
CASA AZUL
10853 Lindbrook Dr., Westwood (310) 209-0666 A festive four-course Mexican feast will blend elements of spicy and sweet for an intriguing menu that showcases regional Mexican techniques and family recipes in this newly opened restaurant from the Frida Restaurant Group. The price for this dinner is $49.95 per person, excluding tax, gratuity and alcohol. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Chaya Brasserie will present a three-course menu created by Executive Chef Harutaka Kishi with entr’es such as roasted spice venison, basil steamed loup de mer and pan-roasted ocean trout. The three-course menu is $85 per person, excluding tax, tip and alcohol.

(310) 454-3474 In addition to a breathtaking ocean view, Gladstone’s is offering to customize Valentine’s Day packages that include a three-course prix-fixe menu and a split of Moet champagne. Each package can be upgraded or modified to meet your needs; the $200 per- couple price includes a guaranteed window seat. After dinner, diners can take a romantic walk on the beach to add the finishing touch to a memorable evening.

4451 Admiralty Way, Marina del Rey (310) 823-6395 This seaside dining destination will offer a three-course prix-fixe menu with intermezzo for $65 per person (not including tax and tip). Select specials from the holiday menu will also be offered ‘ la carte February 10-12, in addition to the regular nightly menu inspired by the coastal cuisines of Europe. Chef Daniel Robert’s menu will offer such specialties as pan-seared scallops, bluenose sea bass, veal saltimbocca, beet risotto and more.
