Tyra Banks sold her five-bedroom, six-bathroom home in Pacific Palisades after five weeks on the market for the full asking price of $7.895 million. Designed by Grant Kirkpatrick, this 13,508-square-foot Upper Riviera estate was originally listed for $21 million.
“Situated on an ultra-private homesite on one of Pacific Palisades’ premier streets, this extraordinary contemporary retreat showcases masterful craftsmanship and exceptional amenities for entertaining and relaxation,” according to the listing. “Surrounded by lush landscaping, mature trees and flat, grassy yards, the .68-acre estate is among the most spacious homesites in the … neighborhood.”
Originally purchased in 2018 for $6.95 million by the ‘Dancing With the Stars’ host, the home has undergone a makeover in nearly every room and has high ceilings, wide-plank hardwood floors, pocket doors and hand designed walls. Luxury features of the home include a home gym, private bar, media room, two offices and a 120-inch projection screen in a media room for film viewing.
The property is sprawled across 6,160 square feet and offers a 360-degree view of stunning views from the roof deck. The deck, which offers views of the mountains and sea, is complete with a hot tub, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, speaker system, wet bar and a suite.
The living room, which opens onto an infinity pool surrounded with plants, boasts a large dining area with pocket doors, Ipe wood decks, a chandelier and a chef’s kitchen with a marble island and subway tiles.
Built in 2014, Banks shared that her home has a minimalistic art style with its white walls and cream, neutral tones accented with hand painted murals in some of the rooms, and has been “smized with a wow factor.”
The listing was held by James Respondek of Rodeo Realty and Heidi Lake of Sotheby’s International Realty.
Known as a supermodel, businesswoman and host of her former show, “America’s Got Talent,” Banks is also known for flipping houses. She purchased this Upper Riviera home for $6.95 million in 2018, leaving her with a near million dollar profit before renovation costs and broker fees. She sold another Palisades property last year for $3.47 million.
