Teeth Truth?
Anyone else feel like the local “Ortho to the Stars” has taken them to the cleaners? I am dissatisfied with his work, and the second opinion I got confirmed my suspicions: He did terrible work, and both my kids’ teeth are back to square one.
Senior Center Parking
Many people in assisted living do drive and do have cars. While my active mother-in-law no longer drives, she still owns and parks her car at her assisted living complex because her daily light caregiver uses it to drive her everywhere to appointments, shopping and social activities. Others in the same assisted living complex still drive themselves. The parking lot at that assisted living complex is full.
Parking II
Although I’m not a Highlands resident, I can understand their concerns especially the parking issue. Having had a family member in a SNF for over three years, I have first-hand experience with inadequate parking. Do not think of the residents not driving. Think instead of the constant flow of visiting family and friends. This developer is barely accommodating his staff. Caruso listened. Maybe Shram will, too, and add additional spaces.
Poor
I was already feeling “poor” living in the Palisades, and then the Post reported that the average income in the Palisades is $600,000! Then I realized that average is not to best way to report income. Median is much more accurate (average pulls that number much higher, due to the small few making millions a year). Can you correct and help make a lot of us feel a little better?
Woof!
So, Councilmember Mike Bonin and his furry pals are talking about a dog park somewhere along Temescal Canyon? The same area that we are so busy driving the homeless away from? Wow, the Palisades knows how to set priorities.
Goats
We don’t need to spray Roundup or other toxic weed killers anywhere near our parks when we have goats for hire. If they were brought on rotation to the two bluff areas, it would charm the neighborhood, and get rid of the weeds and there would be no questionable herbicides being used near families. My daughter-in-law in Nashville rents goats to clear her yard, and they work hard and it’s so cute.
