Follow Up
When Jeffrey Lash, a white male, died in the Palisades, you had coverage for months (and follow up for years). Over a month back you had a minute blurb about a Hispanic man who was found stabbed to death in our town and since then, not a peep in the Post. Are there no updates or does a possible murder of a non-white person not merit the town’s attention?
(Editor’s note: As the paper goes to print, there are no updates, but our reporters are diligently following up. As soon as there’s something to report, the Post will do so.)
Sweet
See’s Candies opening in the Palisades Village is the best news I’ve heard all year!!!
Not-So-Sweet
Having a See’s Candies walking distance from my house is very, very dangerous.
Mini-Grove
Didn’t Caruso agree to emphasize locally owned one-of-a-kind stores in our Palisades Village rather than give in to chain stores? Nothing inherently against See’s Candies (owned by Berkshire Hathaway?! Hilarious.) or Chanel, but none of this sounds Palisades specific. It sounds like our Village will be just another “Anywhere USA” mini-Grove with much higher prices. I hope I’m wrong.
Merging
To the man in the 7-series BMW trying to cut me off, honking and flipping me the bird in front of the Caruso project where two lanes come down to one: It’s called “the zipper”: one car from the right, one from the left (not two, including you) and we all merge peacefully.
Crash
Two weeks ago you ran an article on an accident on Bienveneda. As a neighbor who witnessed it all, a few points were missed. The driver totaled his car and a parked car that he rammed into at a high reckless speed. His friends were not rude, they were very aggressive, coming to the accident in a group, filming everything, in people’s faces, accusing neighbors and the police, who were only trying to help, of breaking the law, not respecting their 1st amendment rights, police brutality—you name it, while not once going to see how their friend, the driver, was doing. Where were they when this obviously under-the-influence of the driver got in his car?
