Golfer Tiger Woods has racked up over 100 pro wins in his Hall-of-Fame career, but none have come at Riviera Country Club. He’ll try to change that next month when he plays in the Genesis Open. Last week, Woods announced he’ll tee it up at the PGA Tour event Feb. 15-18—his first tournament at Riviera since 2006.
“I’m very excited to be back at Riviera,” Woods said. “To be able to play in an event that I used to come to as an amateur, as a junior and now as tournament host on one of the most historic sites in our sport is a dream come true.”
Woods, 42, most recently played in the Hero World Challenge in December, firing an 8-under par to tie for ninth in the elite 18-player field. It was his first tournament following nearly 10 months away from competitive golf to recover from back surgery.
Woods made his PGA Tour debut at Riviera in 1992, competing on a sponsor’s exemption.
