Barbara Abercrombie, a writing professor at UCLA Extension, will speak about her new book, ‘A Year of Writing Dangerously: 365 Days of Inspiration and Encouragement,’ 6:30 p.m. at the Palisades Branch Library, 861 Alma Real. Abercrombie has written 14 books, including ‘Courage & Craft: Writing Your Life Into Story’ and ‘Cherished: 21 Writers on Animals They’ve Loved and Lost.’ Her talk is presented by the Pacific Palisades Library Association as part of the Third Thursday Author Series.
