After meeting and marrying Warren in her early 60s, Denker spent almost three years traveling the country to interview couples for her book, drawing on her years of experience as an art and group therapist. The Pacific Palisades Junior Women’s Club joins forces with the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation to hold the third annual Love Walk, benefiting breast cancer research by the foundation. Registration begins at 8 a.m. in front of the Palisades Branch Library, followed by the 5K walk through the Huntington Palisades at 9 a.m.

Roma King reads and signs ‘Footsteps in the Snow,’ a book written in memory of her Polish father, Romuald Michniewicz, 7:30 p.m. at Village Books on Swarthmore. This love story is the true account of Michniewicz’s amazing quest (after he survives imprisonment by the Russians early in World War II) to find his wife and daughter, who had been transported to Siberia, and their daring and dangerous journey to escape from Siberia.
