  Story and Craft Time, ‘suggested’ for ages 4 and up, 4 p.m. at the Palisades Branch Library community room, 861 Alma Real.

  Pacific Palisades Community Council meeting, 7 p.m. in the Palisades Branch Library community room, 861 Alma Real. The public is invited. Longtime community activist Barbara Kohn debuts as the Council’s new president, succeeding Janet Turner.

  Evening Campfires are now being offered every Thursday evening, 7 to 8:30 p.m. (through August 23) at the stone amphitheater in Temescal Gateway Park. Participants are asked to bring ‘good cheer’ and the park staff will provide a roaring campfire, the program and marshmallows. Parking is $7.
