Palisades Village eatery The Draycott will host “Elle’s Happy Hour” on Thursday, October 19, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. to fight pediatric brain cancer by supporting the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
“Elle’s family, friends and the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation are inviting Pali families and the community to attend this special happy hour at The Draycott,” according to a flyer. “Given Elle’s love of Halloween, kids are encouraged to wear their costumes and enjoy fun activities.”
Elle Nedelkovski, a student at Palisades Charter Elementary School, died in March 2022 from diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, a rare brain cancer. She grew up in the Palisades after being born in Toronto, Canada. Her parents, Lila and George Nedelkovski, previously described her as a child with a “big heart,” who cared for her family, the beach and animals—cats, especially.
Throughout the month of October, The Draycott will be helping to raise funds and awareness for children with brain cancer by donating a portion of proceeds from Happy Hour, which takes place Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 5 p.m., to Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
PBTF aims to provide educational resources and emotional support program, connecting families to one another and the pediatric brain tumor community. It offers peer to peer mentoring, financial assistance, virtual support groups and more.
“Remember to choose The Draycott for a happy hour treat and support the critical mission of the PBTF,” the flyer read. “Inspired by a kind heart.”
