Mammoth may be known as a world-class ski resort—but for many of us who live here, the real magic happens during the summer.
This past winter, when Mammoth Mountain received over 80 feet of snow, was one for the record books, and it has made this summer even sweeter. Mammoth and the surrounding area is wonderfully lush and green, there are wildflowers everywhere, and the lakes and rivers are overflowing with water and fish.
There are so many wonderful things to do: eBiking up to the Lakes Basin, paddleboarding on any number of lakes, mountain biking on Mammoth Mountain, and road biking on Benton Crossing Road, the Scenic Loop, or the June Lake Loop.
Fishing Hot Creek, the Owens River or in one of our lakes. Hiking to Sherwin Lakes, McLeod Lake, Crystal Lake or Duck Pass, or going a bit further and getting on the Pacific Crest Trail or the John Muir Trail. Taking a day trip to Mono Lake or Yosemite.

There is so much to do here. In addition to all the recreation, there are events planned around town.
The Mammoth Margarita Festival is happening on August 11 and 12. Mammoth Shakespeare Festival will present “Hamlet” starting on August 17 and running through September 3. The Mammoth Wine Weekend is August 16 to 19 and has something for every wine lover, including vintners dinners, a wine walk with over 45 vineyards, silent auction and more.
When you come to Mammoth during the summer, I don’t think you can help but fall in love with our incredible town. The thing we hear most from summer visitors is: “I had no idea. I thought you were just a great ski resort.”
Mammoth is so much more than just a world-class ski and snowboard mountain. Each season has its own magic, and all seasons witness and nurture the coming together of friends and family for adventure, fun, and holidays and time together.
One of my joys is sharing this enchanted place with others. As a real estate agent, I can do that every day.

Inventory of both houses and condos has been inching up for the last year and a half, and we finally have some properties to choose from. It is still a seller’s market, as inventory is far below where it should be, but there are options.
For those that already own in Mammoth, it is a great time to sell. I would love to help you with your purchase or sale.
