The whole family can enjoy getting into the Halloween spirit with a spooky comedy favorite on Saturday night, October 12.
Street Food Cinema presents the PG film “Beetlejuice” at Will Rogers State Historic Park, an outdoor cinema experience taking place in Pacific Palisades.
This 1988 classic, directed by Tim Burton, stars Winona Ryder (“Stranger Things”), part-time Palisadian Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Palisadian and Academy Award-winner Geena Davis (“Thelma and Louise”) along with music by Danny Elfman.
When the spirits of a deceased couple are harassed by an unbearable family that has moved into their home, they hire a malicious spirit to drive them out.
Keaton has worked with the famed director many times, including “Batman,” “Batman Returns” and, more recently, the Walt Disney live-action remake of “Dumbo.”
The live music for the event is the California band Livingmore. Music starts at 6:30 p.m. prior to the screening.
Food trucks featured for the event include Amazeballs, Cousins Maine Lobster, The Magical Kitchen and more. Most trucks have vegetarian and vegan selections.
There are options for reserved seating and general seating online. There will be no tickets available at the venue. Doors open at 6 p.m. and it’s a dog-friendly event. The movie starts at 8 p.m. and has a run time of 1 hour and 32 minutes.
