J.J. Abrams has listed his five-bedroom, seven-bathroom home in Pacific Palisades for $22 million, according to a report by Dirt.
Abrams purchased the 7,000-square-foot Upper Riviera home with his wife, Katie McGrath, seven years ago for $14.47 million.
“One of the most extraordinary properties to become available in quite a long time,” the listing boasted. “Extremely special … with breathtaking city [and] ocean views, gorgeous grounds, and rare privacy in the very finest Westside location. Painstakingly designed and crafted by the owners for themselves with no detail overlooked and no expense spared.”
Additional indoor amenities include a large terrace with a fireplace, separate office, wine cellar, gym, storage room, three-car garage and guest bedroom downstairs, with a secret garden and fountain.
“Graceful, richly detailed” formal living and dining rooms each feature a fireplace. An open cook’s kitchen/family room includes a breakfast and sitting area that open through French doors to a covered outdoor living room, complete with a fireplace and heaters, pool/spa, bocce court, and “gorgeous gardens.”
The East Coast-style traditional home’s views reportedly span from the Getty, across Century City to the beach.
“Set off the street [amid] beautiful gardens, this extraordinary home done with integrity and quality is truly a feast for the senses,” the listing concludes. “Exquisite, refined and elegant at every turn.”
The home hit the market on Wednesday, April 28, and is listed with David Offer with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices.
Longtime Palisadian and Palisades Charter High School alumni Abrams previously directed movies, including “Star Trek” and “Mission: Impossible.”
He later went on to direct, produce and co-write the seventh movie in the “Star Wars” franchise “The Force Awakens,” which has reportedly become one of the highest-grossing movies of all time.
