As I was hoping, this year was the best St. Matthew’s Town Fair ever. There was a great watermelon-eating contest. My favorite ride this year was Rock-O-Planes. It was like a Ferris wheel but you could spin upside down. Some of the girls in my second grade class called it “the big orange hamster wheel of doom.” It made me feel weightless which was really fun. My friends Jack Phelps, 9, Henry Fisher, 8, and Matthew Commons, 8, and my sister’s friend Parker Tooley, 6, also said Rock-O-Planes was their favorite ride.

My friend Isabelle McCarthy, 8, said her favorite part of Town Fair was the cake walk where they gave away 60 cakes as prizes. My brother Nicholas, who is turning 2 years old, loved the petting zoo. He sang “E-I-E-I-O” when he wanted to go see the farm animals.
I had so much fun at Town Fair, I wish it happened twice a year.
