On Saturday, August 24th, 25 artists, ranging in age from 2 to 19 years old, displayed their work in an exhibition at Palisades Branch Library, hosted by local artist Bobbie Rich.
“The youngest kids came running through the entrance to their art, elated to show which masterpiece was theirs,” Rich explained.
Each artist featured was able to select the content of their piece as well as what art materials to use to craft it.
She added that there was “high excitement” for the artists to meet each other at the library and toast with sparkling cider in champagne glasses.
Rich explained that the exhibition builds enthusiasm and self-esteem for artists of all ages, giving them a place to see their work displayed and admired by the public.
“We really enjoyed the art reception and getting to see the other artists’ work too,” parent Liz Quoc shared. “Thank you for giving the kids the opportunity to show their art.”
