In a Napa Valley celebration at Schweiger Vineyards on Spring Mountain above St. Helena, Sue Dane Shapses and David B. Landers, MD, were married on July 18. Fifty family members and friends attended, many from Sue’s native California as well as from Dave’s home state of Louisiana.
Sue was escorted by her two sons Douglas Shapses and Brian Shapses. Elizabeth M. Landers, Dave’s daughter, was the maid of honor. Dave’s best man was H. G. Van Taliaferro, MD, and the groomsmen were Ben Darby, MD, and David Tisherman.

Sue’s two brothers Jon Dane and Chase Dane and Dave’s nieces and nephews—Kelly Landers, Thomas Landers, Emily Ransom and Paul Ransom—were all members of the wedding party. Elizabeth gave a beautiful blessing to conclude the ceremony.
