A small group of senior-aged Palisadians gathered at Palisades Charter High School on Wednesday, March 23 to brainstorm about improving life for Pacific Palisades’ older residents.
The Palisades Alliance for Seniors met for the first time on March 1 to discuss transportation options in the Palisades. Wednesday’s meeting followed up on some of the attendees’ initial concerns and introduced additional items.
The interactive format allowed the group to share experiences and obstacles they have faced with age.
One attendee suggested the group establish some kind of check-in system to keep in touch with seniors who live alone.
Creating a senior center and an independent shuttle were on the top of the discussion list among the attending Palisadians. Project groups were formed to begin working on the list of suggestions that was created. The Alliance will tentatively meet once a month so the project groups can give progress updates.
