Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit Pacific Palisades tomorrow evening, December 7, to highlight the 62nd annual Holiday Ho!Ho!Ho! festivities on Swarthmore Avenue, north of Sunset. Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, the child-friendly tradition will begin at 5 p.m. when Santa arrives on the Station 69 fire truck, accompanied by Miss and Mr. Palisades, Kelly Costa and Joel Rosenthal. Honorary Fire Chief Marge Gold will also ride. Each child visiting Santa (sponsored by Botham Plumbing & Heating) will receive a holiday toy (sponsored by Gladstone’s and the Union 76 Village General Store). Additionally, the Chamber is collecting new unwrapped toys for The Boys and Girls Club in Santa Monica and Ocean Park Community Center. Please don’t forget gifts for older kids, too.’ While waiting in line to see Santa and Mrs. Claus (sponsored by the Swarthmore Merchants), kids will be entertained by Whirlie the Clown. Music will be provided by the Oom PaPa Band (before Santa’s arrival) and a popular singing group, The Oceanaires. Additional holiday music sponsored by Movies in the Park, Pacific Palisades, Inc.’ There will be free hot chocolate (sponsored by Steve’s Restaurant), and a face painter, sponsored by American Legion Post 283 and Caf’ Vida. Please note: Santa must leave promptly at 8 p.m. to return to the North Pole. Constructing Santa’s Swarthmore sled for the 19th consecutive year is Tim Marschall, owner of TMC Construction in Pacific Palisades. Tim and Lisa Marschall are also sponsoring the Christmas trees that will surround Santa’s sled. Two are being donated for a Chamber Raffle. Tickets can be purchased for $5 each at the Chamber ticket table along with tickets for popcorn, water and glow-in-the-dark necklaces.
