Last Tuesday, Rodeo Realty closed escrow on the historic Palisadian-Post building at 839 Via de la Paz for $3 million.
Syd Leibovitch, owner of the Southern California-based real estate firm, said Rodeo Realty is “always looking to expand and when the building came up for sale, I realized it’s the exact location I wanted.”
This will be the 12th office for Rodeo Realty, which employs nearly 1,100 brokers and is the largest single-owned real estate company in California.
Leibovitch, who founded Rodeo Realty in 1986 at the age of 25, said the interior of the building would be renovated to include “a state-of-the-art facility with numerous private offices and really large private cubicles.”
Built in 1946, and expanded several times, the building has always been home to a newspaper operation. Originally owned by brothers Charles and William Brown, the building was headquarters to the Pacific Palisades Post and its printing business (closed last December) until last Wednesday.
The Post is now located in the 881 Alma Real building, Suite 213.
