The Palisadian-Post has partnered with Paul Revere Charter Middle School to highlight a
series of pieces from its 2021 Literary Anthology. The following piece, penned by Keven Castillo Esobar, originally appeared in the Rhyming Poems section of the anthology, released in spring, and has been reprinted here with permission.
Autumn winds begin to blow, colored leaves fall fast and slow.

Whirling, twirling all around, till at last they will fall on the
ground.
Pumpkins grow, they get carved and glow in the dark.
Bits of leaves falling from the tree and kids jumping in leaves.
Spooky houses everywhere and people giving cookies
everywhere.
The kids are ringing the house’s bells, while I hear the singing
of the birds.
Friends are calling to play while acorns and leaves are falling.
Fall starts in September, ends on December.
