The spring basketball season ended last weekend at the Palisades Recreation Center and “Championship Saturday” saw several exciting finishes. In the Girls Bantams Division, the Tar Heels edged the Tigers, 33-32, in double overtime.
Maddie Moore made the winning free throw for the Tar Heels, who were led by Moore, Sydney Goldberger, Bella Parham and Isabel Milner. The Tigers were led by Keili Klein, Camryn Rowles, Sophie Christmas and Carly Bloom.
In the Co-Ed Juniors Division, the Pacers led the 76ers by four points with 14 minutes left before pulling away for a 59-40 victory. Pacing the Pacers were Charlie Wang, Alex Siliezar, Cole Jacobs, Robert Power, Teddy Suisman and Evan Epstein. Daniel Kanan and Jack Lando led the 76ers.
