An upgraded look, with new and expanded departments, and a “Chicken Company” counter are some of the things Palisadians will now see when they shop at Ralphs supermarket.
On Friday, July 13, the store, which opened in 1996, celebrated its grand reopening. Festivities included free breakfast, free reusable shopping bags and a chance to win Disneyland tickets, which were awarded to Deborah Murphy.
“We’re very excited about the remodel,” Store Manager Joseph Correa said. “Our customers have been very patient during the remodel process, and I think they will be very pleased with what we now have to offer them.”
Correa, who has been with the store since 2016, is a 41-year Ralphs associate.
With the upgrades, the company is hoping to draw locals in to purchase freshly prepared meals.
“Chicken Company is part of Ralphs’ focus on making its stores fresh food destinations for shoppers,” a press release explained. The counter will sell fresh-prepared fried and baked chicken meals, chicken tenders and chicken sandwiches.
“We are very proud to service the community of Pacific Palisades,” Correa said. “Thanks to our renovation, we have new options for the freshest products and a continued commitment to offer the friendliest service in town.
