The largest puppet parade in Los Angeles takes place on Sunday, April 28 at 10 a.m. on the Third Street Promenade.
Events will commence at 10 a.m. with a puppet-making workshop, followed at 11 a.m. by the Million Puppet March.
Puppet-making tables will be in front of Barnes & Noble at Wilshire and Third Street, and the parade marches south along the Promenade to Broadway for the closing ceremonies.
The public, along with their favorite puppets, are invited to join the parade. Don’t have a puppet? Attendees can make their own puppet in the morning for free at the parade starting line, courtesy of Rogue Artists. One lucky parade participant will even win a prize.
The parade is being organized by the Million Puppet March, the organization that garnered worldwide media coverage with its march on Washington last fall. The grand marshal is Alan Cook, founder of the International Puppetry Museum in Pasadena. Contact: media@millionpuppetmarch.com.
