
Postseason play in the Pacific Palisades Baseball Association begins Saturday at the Field of Dreams and several teams started the week with a chance to move up in the standings and improve their playoff seeding.
In the Pinto Division (ages 7-9), the Phillies and Cubs met Tuesday for first place in the National League. The Phillies (9-6-1) entered the contest with a half game lead. The Cardinals and Dodgers also played Tuesday.
The American League crown is on the line today when the Red Sox (11-5) and Yankees (11-5) meet in the regular season finale. The Orioles and Tigers will square off in the other American League matchup.

The Mustang Division (ages 9-10) wrapped up regular season action yesterday, with the first-place Red Sox (14-2) taking on the second-place Yankees (12-3-1) and the Orioles facing the Tigers in the American League. In the National League, the second-place Dodgers (7-9) took on the Cardinals while the first-place Cubs (8-8) looked to clinch against the Phillies.
In the Bronco Division (ages 11-12), the National League-leading Dodgers (12-4) took on the Orioles and the Yankees met the Phillies on Tuesday and the American League-leading Tigers (13-3) wap up their schedule with an interleague matchup aganst the Cardinals today.
Teams with the best overall record in each division are seeded No. 1 in the double-elimination tournament.
In the Pony Division (ages 13-14), Pali Blue scored 115 runs, second most out of seven teams, and was third behind Santa Monica Gold and Santa Monica Red.
