The Pacific Palisades Baseball Association’s Mustang 10U All-Stars were excited to play Torrance American on Saturday afternoon in an elimination game of the Pony District 2 playoffs in Redondo Beach.
Having suffered a 4-3 loss to the same team in the opening game of the double-elimination tournament, Palisades came out ready in the rematch, scoring two runs in the first inning, batting around for 10 more in the second and getting three strong innings from pitcher Cole Miller en route to a 12-2 win that earned them a section berth in Long Beach.
It was a team effort for the PPBA squad, as Zane Wolsefer, Sebastian DeRosa, Tommy Lavia, Walter Sibson, Levi Gibbons, Carter Branch, Oliver Attar, Wyatt Schinto, Max Conchuratt, Owen Ghaffari, Liam Nassour, Oliver O’Donnell and Charlie Olsen all contributed.
The local 10Us held off Redondo Sunset 6-5 earlier on Saturday.
