The Palisades Recreation Center’s Field of Dreams complex will once again be the host site for the Pony Baseball 10U and 12U All-Star Section tournaments July 11-17.
The PPBA hosted both age divisions last season as well, but despite home field advantage neither local team advanced to the Super Region playoffs.
Each tournament will feature an eight-team, double-elimination bracket featuring the survivors of this week’s District 1 and 2 playoffs, with the top two teams from the Section qualifying for Super Regionals July 19-24 in Corona (10U) and Whittier (12U).
Two years ago Palisades’ 11U All-Stars captured five tournament titles and were one win away from reaching the West Zone Championships in Walnut.
The PPBA hosted the 10U and 12U Section playoffs in 2015, but neither Palisades squad advanced to the next round.
In 2012, the PPBA hosted the District 10U and 12U playoffs. Neither local team won, but both advanced to the Section playoffs.
