The Los Angeles Police Department has issued traffic advisories for Monday and Tuesday in preparation of Vice President Joe Biden’s two-day visit to Los Angeles, which starts today, Oct. 6.
Biden will be in Brentwood today to speak at a $2,500 per person fundraiser for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
The event, which is billed as the “When Women Succeed America Succeeds Cocktail Reception” is set to start at 7:30 pm.
Featuring a performance by Carole King, the shindig is taking place at the home of Jim Gianopulos, a chairman/CEO of Fox Filmed Entertainment at 20th Century Fox.
Gianopulos own a home in the 400 block S. Carmelina Avenue between Sunset and San Vicente boulevards near Paul Revere Charter Middle School.
Gianopulos serves on the board of the Motion Picture & Television Fund. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is also expected to attend the lively event, which is a prelude to President Obama’s visit to the Southland.

Obama is scheduled to attend a fundraiser later this week hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow, who owns a large estate in Mandeville Canyon.
Purchased by Paltrow for nearly $11 million in 2012, the estate features sprawling lawns, oaks and horse stables and a paddock, according Zilllow.com.

The 405 Fwy and Santa Monica Boulevard from 3 to 6 pm.
Santa Monica Blvd. and Wilshire Blvd. from 3 to 8 pm.
Sunset Blvd between Barrington Avenue and Mandeville Canyon from 5 to 9 pm.
Drivers should avoid these area Tuesday, Oct. 7:
Santa Monica Blvd. and Wilshire Blvd. from 8 to 10 am.
North Broadway between 19th Ave. and Daly Street from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm.
Spring Street between 18th Ave. and Arcadia St. from 11 am to 2 pm.
Cesar Chavez and Grand Ave from 11 am to 2 pm.
Grand Ave. between Cesar Chavez and Olympic Blvd. from 11 am to 2 pm.
