Moonday in the Village will host poets Tony Barnstone and Ariana Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, February 13 at the Buerge Chapel at Aldersgate Retreat Center, 925 Haverford. Barnstone is a professor of English at Whittier College and the author of 12 books. He earned his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley and is also a distinguished translator of Chinese poetry and literary prose. Among his awards are the Pushcart Prize in Poetry, a fellowship from the California Arts Council, the Poets Prize, and a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. Singer/songwriter Hall will play herself and perform her original music in a scene with Paul Rudd and Chris O’Dowd in an upcoming film by Judd Apatow, a semi-sequel to ‘Knocked Up.’ Open reading sign ups start at 6:30 p.m. Contact: Alice Pero at pero@earthlink.net or moondaypoetry.com.
