I got the idea to form the Pink Puppy Crew last year when I was in the car driving through the Huntington with my mom. We were talking about making the earth cleaner. I told her I thought it would be good to help the community and help the earth by picking garbage up off the streets after Halloween. I don’t want the streets to be so dirty.

Everyone throws their garbage on the ground when they walk around trick or treating, so for the past two years my friends and I have gotten together to pick up trash after Halloween.
Last year we picked up a lot more garbage than this year. This year we had a little less because there was a woman on Ocampo who decided to clean up her street on her own. When we got there it was already pretty clean.
For those who leave their candy wrappers on the ground on Halloween, can you please not drop your wrappers on the street next time? It makes the earth feel so dirty.
Next year we will put up flyers a week beforehand telling everyone what Pink Puppy Crew is doing and where to meet in case others want to join.
