Palisadians Harry Eden, Cheryl Robinson, Kathy Jackson, Marian Niles, Adam Wolman and Norman Helgeson performed with the Angel City Chorale in their spring concert early this month.
ACC reunited with acclaimed composer Christopher Tin to perform “Elements” at the Wilshire United Methodist Church under conductor and ACC Founder, Sue Fink. The concert explored the four elements in a variety of musical styles including pop, classical and spirituals and featured the West Coast Premiere of Tin’s new song cycle, “The Drop that Contained the Sea.” Each of the 10 pieces is sung in a different language, including Proto-Indo-European, Turkish, and Xhosa.

Angel City Chorale (ACC) is a multi-cultural group that reflects the community spirit of Los Angeles at large. Now comprised of 160 singers, ACC began at McCabe’s Guitar Shop in 1993 with just 18 singers.
The choir has performed throughout LA at venues including Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the former Kodak Theatre, Nokia Theatre at LA Live, Staples Center, the Shrine Auditorium and more.
ACC maintains a strong sense of community involvement, taking its holiday concert repertoire directly to service organizations and those most in need in Los Angeles through its annual Tour of Hope program every December.
The choir has sung for more than 30 service organizations around the city, donating not only the gift of music, but also food, personal items, clothing and medical supplies to those who need them most.
