Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking & Investment Group is pleased to announce that Palisadian Howard Rowen and Halsey Smith joined the Los Angeles office on April 9, 2014 with a combined $3 billion dollars of assets under management.
Rowen joins from UBS and Smith joins from Deutsche Bank Securities. Combined, these two veterans have 50 years of experience. Together, Smith and Rowen will lead a nine-member team focused on offering a comprehensive set of financial solutions for their clients. Rowen’s focus on alternative investments, hedge funds and private equity will complement Smith’s experience in fixed income and structured products.
The new team will be located at Merrill Lynch’s Century Park office at 2049 Century Park East, Los Angeles, CA 90067. Rowen is a resident of the Pacific Palisades, while Smith resides in Pasadena.
