Valentine’s Day 2022
by Ginny Winn
You have touched my heart
How do I know?
And how do You?
The glow
sparks through
a soft mist falls
cooling the heat
warming the cold
holding emboldening
the best in me, in you
and hearts beat warmth
beneath the snow
and frost pours silently
down even slight slopes
until hopes rise
above winter tide
eyes smile
hoo hoo hoo
owl the while
Sonnet
by Blake Bishton
As I look up to the midnight sky,
Unleashing it’s communion down on me,
I begin to feel like I can fly
On wings of perfect syzygy.
Suddenly alight with a moonstruck fire,
Lost to pallid Diana, all aglow,
I rise into infusing cosmic gyre,
Like halo’s sweet protection, round me flows.
Boundless am I; yet to you I am bound,
Though in your fullness, flight I am granted,
In black, my symphony is silenced sound,
Power gone, and myself disenchanted.
Behold this waxing and waning of mine
Is after all just pantomime of thine.
OUR Palisades
by Winifred S. Davis
OUR Palisades is a wonderful place
Room to bicycle, scooter, lots of space
LOVELY FLOWERS IN COLORS BRIGHT,
FRiendly faces day and night.
So come to visit, live and stay
Make friends, be kind in every way.
And you will see being here is right
For many years to your DELIGHT!!!!
