
Palisadian playwright Lisa Phillips Visca has teamed up with director Chris DeCarlo to present the world premiere of Turning Thirty, an irresistible comedy about love, family, and a trust fund at the Santa Monica Playhouse located at 1211 4th Street.
Visca explores the ins and outs of contemporary relationships in Turning Thirty, a comedy about mothers, daughters and the effect they have on each other and the men in their lives.

An obstacle course of trust fund deadlines, weddings, Porsches, Lady Gaga costumes, biological clock time-bombs, and life-changing peanut butter yogurt, Turning Thirty illuminates modern-day romance in all its unexpected glory, with the passion and pain of finding, and losing, and finding once again your one and only true love.
Her first play, Sophia (2010) was showcased at Theatre Palisades. Visca wrote, directed, and produced, Sophia, the TV pilot. Feature films include: adapted screenplay, Turning Thirty, suspense thriller, Climax and Reality TV show, Love Match. The movie, Raise Me Up, (new title: Moonlight & Roses) is in development with MRJ Films and directed by Vince Marcello.

Turning Thirty performances are Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. The show opens May 3 through June 29. General admission is $29; $22.50 students, teachers, seniors and members of the military; $17.50 for groups of 8 or more; and $15 for age 12 and under.
