Palisadian Damon Michael Geller, 48, died at Topanga State Beach on Thursday, Dec. 20, while surfing late at night.
Geller died of an apparent medical emergency at Topanga State Beach, authorities told City News Service, although an autopsy from the coroner was still pending.
Local news stations reported people close to the beach when the incident occurred heard Geller’s brother, who had been surfing with him at the time and discovered his body, yelling for help as he performed CPR.
