The Friends of the Palisades Library wrapped up the 2019 Summer Writing Contest on Wednesday, October 2, with a reading of some of the winnings stories—all composed with the theme “Palisades Tales: From the Mountains to the Sea” in mind.
Audience members munched on complimentary McConnell’s Fine Ice Creams, while stories were performed by actors Bill Jones and Christine Kludjian.
The contest is open each year to children and teens entering grades one through 12, divided into five age categories.
