Palisades Charter High School is being evacuated after a possible bomb threat was reported today, Nov. 4, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
West LAPD police authorities said the threat was reported about 9 a.m. this morning. Nearby residents reported seeing helicopters circling the campus at about 10 a.m.
The school was also serving as a polling station in today’s county and state elections. Authorities suspended balloting at the campus and began evacuations, according to police.
An LAPD bomb squad and police dogs were also sent to the campus after authorities learned of the threat, which was made via social media at about 8:30 a.m., according to police.
Police are blocking Temescal Canyon Road from Sunset, Bowdoin Street is closed in both directions and El Medio Avenue is blocked from Sunset to Northfield Street.
The investigation was continuing as of mid-morning.
