Palisades Flag-Raising

The official Pacific Palisades flag-raising ceremony will take place Sunday, April 13, at 12 p.m. at the Village Green. Honorary Mayor Jake Steinfeld will present a check for $1,000 to the two flag contest winners, Sean Lim and Will Dintenfass, who will unveil and raise the flag. The celebration is open to the public and will include music, a visit from Fire Station 69, flag contest judges, other flag contestants and more.
The Palisades’ new flag is already making a splash. Mayor Jake’s “Minister of Media” Rich Cronin recently took the new flag to Germany, where he met with John Emerson, the U.S. Ambassador to Germany.
“We thought it was amusing that the U.S. Ambassador to Germany would meet with the Minister of Media for Pacific Palisades to celebrate our new flag,” Cronin said. “We are thrilled to open up diplomatic relations with our first European country.”
