For those looking for a Cinco de Mayo celebration, two Palisades eateries—Tallula’s and Qué Padre—have the community covered.
Tallula’s, which is located in Santa Monica Canyon at 118 Entrada Drive, is hosting a Cinco de Mayo Fiesta on Friday, May 5, from 4 to 10 p.m.
“A DJ will be spinning tunes from 6 to 9 p.m. to get the party started,” according to information shared by the restaurant. “In addition to the usual menu, we’ll have a bunch of stations set up outside, including a satellite bar with hibiscus, spicy and classic margaritas, a taco cart firing up carnitas tacos and chicharrónes, and Mexican street fruit cups.”
Reservations are “highly recommended,” but walk-ins are available in Felix’s Bar, as well as on the patio.
Tallula’s will also offer takeout and delivery on May 5, with a Cinco de Mayo Fiesta Pack available for $155, which “which feeds six and includes crowd-pleasers like a 12-piece Taco Bar with carne asada, chicken, shrimp, veggies and all the fixings, an eight-piece Cheese Quesadilla, DIY Nachos ‘Sencillo,’ and Churros.”
Those who order to-go will have the option to add jars of margaritas, palomas, seasonal aguas frescas or mixed cerveza packs.
Pre-orders are available online through Tallula’s website or Tripleseat by May 4 at 8 p.m. for pikup and delivery on May 5.

Over at Palisades Village, Qué Padre is teaming up with The Smoke Label—founded by Marquez Knolls resident Jennifer Irwin—to host a Cinco de Mayo Celebration on May 5 from 12 to 9 p.m.
“Qué Padre’s Cinco de Mayo Celebration promises to be an unforgettable experience for tequila lovers and food enthusiasts alike,” according to a press release about the event. “The Smoke Label, a premium tequila brand, infuses its tequilas with smoke from mesquite wood, offering a unique and delicious twist on the classic spirit. Guests can sample The Smoke Label’s smoked Blanco and Reposado Tequilas, which pair perfectly with the restaurant’s modern Mexican cuisine.”
Qué Padre will have $20 Coronita Buckets and $5 Cervezas, in addition to cocktails, signature margaritas and tequila flights.
“Cinco de Mayo is an important day for celebrating Mexican culture, heritage and achievements,” Peña shared in a statement. “We are thrilled to offer our guests a unique and unforgettable Cinco de Mayo experience with our smokin’ celebration, featuring The Smoke Label smoked tequila tastings and our full modern Mexican menu.”
