Jack Davis, Palisades High alum, won a writing prize awarded by the University of Colorado at Boulder’s Program for Writing and Rhetoric on April 25. Davis penned his winning essay “The LGBT Movement’s Final Frontier: Equality in Athletics” in a First Year Writing and Rhetoric class.

His instructor, Catherine Kunce, said, “I don’t think I’ve ever been more proud of a student.”
Commenting on his writing project, Davis added, “I hope my story inspired those in the audience to become better allies of LGBT people in sport.”
