It was quite a weekend in the pool for Palisades High water polo captain Theo Trask, who collected 39 steals to lead the Dolphins to a 4-1 record and seventh place at the Ocean View Tournament.
Minus two starters and without most of the bench due to PSAT testing on Saturday, Palisades rebounded from a 9-8 overtime loss to Sherman Oaks Notre Dame (in which Trask tallied 11 steals and Luis Urias scored four times) to win its last four games.
Trask made nine steals, Zach Wunder scored three goals and Urias, Marc Pryor and Maximo Speiser each added two goals in a 12-7 victory over Valley View. Stuart Brien made nine saves, Trask recorded nine steals and Wunder scored six goals in a 9-3 victory over Laguna Hills. Speiser netted five goals and Trask had seven steals in a 10-4 win against Ocean View. Speiser and Wunder scored three each, Trask had three steals and Brien had six saves in a 9-2 triumph over Thousand Oaks.
Palisades returned to Western League action Monday and routed LACES 24-3. Eleven different players scored for the Dolphins.
