Every season presents a unique set of challenges, but Palisades High tennis coach Bud Kling always finds a way to get the most out of his teams and he must do so again if the Dolphins are to defend the City Open Division girls title.
“We tied Marlborough 3-3 on Monday despite missing one of our singles players,” said Kling, whose squad heads to San Diego for a tournament this weekend. “We’ve only got two seniors, but we’ve done better than I thought so far.”
No. 1 player Iris Berman is the reigning City singles champion. Jade Finestone, Sophie Szeder and Anaya Ayanbadejo round out the singles lineup while the doubles are led by Reese Trepagnier, Marlena Dobrowolski, Yulia Klukova, Sydney Gartin, Simone McClary, Becca Rosenblatt, Camryn Rowles and Sashi Gancheva.
Top JVs include Giselle Belafonte, Sofia Kozachenko, Iman Morlot, Via Healy and Eva Engel.
