Since the season started the goals for the Palisades High boys golf team have been to win league and regain the City Championship.
The Golfin’ Dolphins took another step towards achieving the first goal last Tuesday when they defeated Taft at Woodley Lakes for their sixth victory without a loss.
Palisades shot 185—a collective 5-over par—as senior Ali Zafar-Khan and sophomore Charlie Lovett each shot an even-par 36.
Sophomore Noah Mirza fired a 37, freshman Jaden Vann and sophomore Jackson Nettleship each shot a 38, sophomore Spencer Hoffman shot a 39 and junior Sam Swartz rounded out the cards with a 40.
Vann and Zafar-Khan sank eagle putts on the same hole. It was Palisades’ second win against Taft, which had only four players.
The Golfin’ Dolphins also hold decisive victories over El Camino Real, Cleveland and Chatsworth and a one-stroke triumph against reigning City champion Granada Hills at Knollwood Country Club.
Palisades’ lineup also includes sophomore Tiger Woo, freshman Bilguudei Enkhbold (the medalist against Cleveland) and junior Aaron Simon.
