The Palisades High girls tennis team traveled to Beverly Hills on Wednesday and defeated the host Normans 12-6, improving to 2-1 in intersectional play.
Caroline Goldberg swept, 6-0, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 1 singles. Sophia Arvin won her second set 6-3 at No. 2 singles and Taylor Barfield lost all three of her sets at No. 3 singles in the round robin scoring format.
Palisades won eight of the nine doubles sets. Gigi Feingold and Caroline Ross swept, 6-1, 6-3, 6-3, at the No. 1 spot, Calypso Peraticos and Maddy Goore swept, 6-3, 6-1, 6-0, at the No. 2 position and Alex Miller and Kate Harrington won their first two set by 6-2 scores and lost their third, 6-3 at No. 3.
Palisades defeated Beverly Hills 16-2 in its season opener last fall. The Dolphins travel north to Fresno for the California Classic this weekend.
