Showing the talent and depth that will make it so tough to contend with this season, the Palisades High girls tennis defeated host Beverly Hills 16-2 in its season opener Tuesday.

Freshman Caroline Goldberg swept 6-4, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, Abby Schleichkorn won both of her sets at No. 2 singles and Morgan Swan won two out of three at No. 3 singles for the Dolphins.
Caroline Vincent and Calypso Peraticos won their sets 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles, defending City Individual champions Madeline Prins and Lizzie Belokonnyi swept 6-1, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 and freshman twins Sophia and Ireland Amato swept 6-1, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 doubles.
