Palisades Charter High School teacher Sarah Rosenthal was named the 2020 Exemplary Teacher Award winner by the California Association of School-University Partnerships.
“Her leadership and collaboration skills in her role as the PDS Coordinator in the partnership between Pepperdine University and Palisades Charter High School is evident in her work to secure clinical placements, communicate with HR to process onboarding, host weekly candidate luncheons in her classroom, co-host events for mentor teachers and teacher candidates, and advocate for teacher candidate needs as issue arise,” CASUP wrote in a statement.
Gisela Mueller, a Palisadian for 50 years, shared a second photo/watercolor collage, “Roots and Wings,” that she crafted. “We give our children and grandchildren the ‘roots’ to make them strong and fearless,” she wrote, “using their ‘wings’ to fly high and far away. Our families did the same for us.”
Devin McNichol and Aaron Bernbach collected more than 700 pounds of food and 250 pounds of cereal during the West Bank Food Drive.
The Executive Office of the Board of Supervisors recently unveiled the official photo featuring an all-women Board of Supervisors—including Supervisor Sheila Kuehl, who represents the Palisades—for the first time since the board’s inception in 1852.
