Palisadians attended an Evening on the Beach, presented by Audi and benefiting St. Vincent Meals on Wheels to provide 2,000 meals to feed homebound seniors and residents in LA, at Jonathan Beach Club. The oceanside celebration included a “truly unique” food and wine experience, featuring samplings from Los Angeles-area chefs, served alongside beer and wine tastings.
Wendy Walk, a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness and research funds for sarcoma, hosted a Back-to-School Carnival at Palisades Village. Festivities included carnival games, crafts and more.
Palisades-founded nonprofit Crayon Collection celebrated Back-to-School with an event at Palisades Village, encouraging attendees to bring in crayons in exchange for admission. The event benefited Los Angeles Unified School District and the Head Start program.
Three Palisadian pediatricians, Dr. Bob Hamilton, Dr. Mike Martini and Dr. Patrick Whelan, participated in the 50th anniversary of the Summer Medical Career Program, assisting high school students interested in becoming pediatricians. The Los Angeles Dodgers provided 66 tickets to kids currently enrolled in the program, who attended a family barbecue in Elysian Park and on-field recognition of the Pediatric Society ahead of the game.
