The Corpus Christi School Academic Decathlon Team recently competed at the 29th Annual Los Angeles Archdiocese Junior High Academic Decathlon. The team included Co-Captains Declan Burke and Brooke Freyer, Jemma Beardmore, Lucas Brumbach, Patrick Csiszar, Ryan Gilhooly, Thor Gjerdrum, Braun Levi, Isabella Montgomery, and Kai Stevens. The team took 10th place in the Super Quiz competition among 101 schools competing. Individual medalists were seventh-grader Brooke Freyer, sixth place in Current Events, and sixth-grader Patrick Csiszar, seventh place in Social Studies. The team was coached by faculty members Kathy Slattery, Paola Sessarego, Amy Mahoney, Mandy Medlin and Ron Fitzgerald.

Councilmember Mike Bonin presented Palisadians Gregg Champion and Jeffrey Vann, co-founders of Start Up Recovery, a foundation started in the Palisades in 2017, a proclamation honoring the work and service they do for those struggling with alcoholism and drug addiction.
The Rotary Club of Pacific Palisades presented its annual Rotary Business Person of the Year Award to Arnie Wishnick, former executive director of the Pacific Palisades Chamber of Commerce.
