
Caruso recently sponsored the 2023 Spring Luncheon and Fashion Show, hosted by The C.H.I.P.S. (The Colleagues Helpers in Philanthropic Service)—which was founded in 1966 to support local charities that help “women and children who have been traumatized by violence, abuse and neglect.”
The luncheon fundraiser, which takes place once per year and features a fashion designer partner, was attended by about 300 guests and included the A.L.C. (founded by Andrea Liberman) Summer 2023 Collection.
This year’s fundraiser, which took place at The Maybourne in Beverly Hills, honored John Corigan, an LAPD officer “who works closely” with Operation Progress, The C.H.I.P.S. charity partner. There was also a shopping event on May 3 at A.L.C.’s Palisades Village store, with 15% of sales donated to the organization’s efforts.

Ahead of the end of the 2022-23 academic year, Paul Revere Charter Middle School hosted its first Band and Orchestra Music Festival, which included performances by PRMS Senior and Advanced Bands, PRMS Senior and Advanced Orchestras, Palisades Charter High School’s Wind Ensemble, Forshay Middle and High School Orchestra, and Obama Prep String Orchestra. The festival was organized by PRMS Orchestra Director Gregory Samuel and Band Director Dave Tautkus.
Each group played two musical pieces and was judged by three adjudicators, according to event organizers: “PRMS Senior and Advanced Orchestras and Advanced Band received the highest score possible, Superior. Pali High’s Wind Ensemble also received a score of Superior. PRMS Senior Band received a score of Excellent.”

Malibu Pacific Palisades Chamber of Commerce hosted a Sunset Mixer at Casa Nostra in The Highlands, celebrating its grand reopening—featuring “the finest of Italy’s cuisine and wine,” according to Chamber CEO Barbara Bruderlin.
A raffle featured items from area businesses, including Baby Blooming Moments, blueview ATELIER and AAA T.L.C. Health Care.
“It was all just delicious and beautiful,” Bruderlin concluded.

Palisadian Dayna Daniele recently participated in the Idyllwild Arts Summer Program-Theatre Intensive, which included a trip for the students to see a Shakespeare by the Sea production of “Hamlet” in Point Fermin Park in San Pedro. Daniele met Brendan Kane, who played the role of Hamlet in the production.
